COVID-19 Readiness updates

COVID-19 Readiness updates :

Polar Asia Pacific group of companies have implemented stringent measures to combat the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

Polar Singapore office has implemented Work from Home (WFH) for all employees effective Tue – 7th Apr 2020 until 4th May 2020 as mandated by the authorities in Singapore. The arrangements will be reviewed and extended as necessary as advised by the authorities.

We have been approved by the authorities to continue providing essential support services including product, accessories and spare shipments, repair, calibration and maintenance of test equipment to customers in Singapore and across the Asia Pacific region.

Polar India office remains closed effective 25th Mar 2020 until 3rd May 2020 as mandated by the authorities in India due to complete lockdown. The arrangements will be reviewed and extended as necessary at the end of the lock down period as advised by the authorities.

Polar China and Polar Taiwan offices remain operational with our staff split into two teams and operating from office and home on alternate days of the week. These measures will remain in place until 30th Apr 2020 and extended as deemed necessary at the end of the period.

The health and safety of our staff members, customers and business partners is paramount in these circumstances, The management and staff of our group of companies have taken necessary measures to ensure the well-being of all parties. To minimise physical interaction with our customers and business partners, we have suspended all travel and customer visits until further notice. All our staff are reachable for service and support by email and phone and visits to customer sites will continue for critical service support in compliance with guidelines issued by the local authorities. We have also taken essential steps to ensure continuity of supply of products and services (including repairs and calibration) during the stringent lock down control measures implemented by authorities in various territories.

We are working closely with our principals and partners to maintain sufficient stocks of equipment, accessories and spare parts, necessary to provide service & support to customers around the region. Some delays are expected in delivery of our products and services due to the severe limitations on the global logistics supply chain. We wish to assure our customers that our business continuity plans are stress tested and robust to handle the ongoing crisis.

We seek your patience, understanding and support for any delays which are beyond our control. Together with your continued support we will overcome these unprecedented and very challenging times.

Polar’s Field Solving PCB Transmission Line Design System, has been selected as a finalist in the EDI CON CHINA Product Innovation Awards. 

The EDI CON China Product Innovation Awards honor the products introduced in the last year that have had the greatest impact on the industry, providing the tools necessary to bring on the next generation of electronic design Innovations.

A panel of Microwave Journal and Signal Integrity Journal editors selected 15 finalists. Entries were judged on exceptional innovation, including consideration of product functionality, ease of use, cost effectiveness and other factors.

Latest controlled impedance test measurement system CITS880s is now available
3rd October 2014

CITS880s is the 9th generation of the impedance measurement system building upon the CITS880 platform widely used in the industry. It is now available with the all new Launch Point Extrapolation (LPE) feature mandated by OEMs and also supports the capability of measuring short traces useful for on-board test using the newly re-engineered high performance IPS and IPDS probes with precision moulded ESD dissipative materials to give maximum protection.

NEW GRS550 Graphical Repair Test System is now available
7th March 2014

GRS550 is the new automated Graphical Repair System used for identifying faults on defective boards using time proven Nodal Impedance (VI) analysis by comparing test signatures from golden reference boards. Ideal for low volume high value production or prototype testing and field returned repairs on high density modern circuit boards.

It is now available with Active Test for functional testing using National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW and Active Vision for automated optical inspection using National Instruments (NI) VISION solution. In addition it can also now support electronic Boundary Scan Test using industry standard GOEPELboundary scan tester.

New Test Services at our In-House Test Facility

Polar Asia Pacific is now offering test services for Intel's - SET2SEIL / SET2DIL and IBM's - SPP loss measurement test services from our test facility in Singapore using Polar's ATLAS SI and Tektronix DSA8300 series TDR system.

ATLAS offers Intel developed - SET2DIL (Single ended TDR to Differential Insertion Loss) / SET2SEIL (Single ended TDR to Single ended Insertion Loss) mthodology to extract loss (SDD21/21) or IBM's proprietary SPP (Short Pulse Propogation) for measurement of loss (SDD21/S21) and extraction of frequency dependent material properties namely - Dielectric (Dk) and Phase values.

For the benefit of Asia customers, we have now setup in-house facility to provide test services to our customers around Asia Pacific region.
